Tomorrow, Monday, the Qatari Men’s Handball League for the 2024/2025 sports season will start, with three matches taking place: Al Duhail vs. Qatar, Al Wakrah vs. Al Sadd, and Al Rayyan vs. Al Shamal.
The matches between Al-Ahly and Al-Gharafa and Al-Arabi and Al-Khor were postponed due to the participation of Al-Ahly and Al-Gharafa in the 39th Arab Club Championship for League and Cup Champions, which will start tomorrow in Kuwait.
The league will stop after the seventh round to host the 27th Asian Men’s Club Championship, scheduled for next November, in addition to the start of the Qatari national team’s preparations for the 29th Men’s World Championship, scheduled to be held in Croatia, Denmark and Norway during the period from January 14 to February 2, 2025.
Al Rayyan won the Men’s Handball League title last season 2023/2024, while Al Arabi came in second place, and Al Duhail came in third place.
It is noteworthy that Al Rayyan holds the record for the number of times it has won the league, having won the title 15 times, followed by Al Sadd, which won it 9 times, while Al Duhail won it 5 times, Al Ahli and Al Jaish 4 times, Al Arabi and Qatar twice, and Al Gharafa and Al Wakrah once each.
