His Excellency Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani, Governor of the Qatar Central Bank and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Investment Authority, met with Mr. Chia Der Jeon, Managing Director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group for the year 2026, which will be held in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand, during the period from October 12 to 18, 2026.
During the meeting, the most prominent bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries in the financial and banking fields and ways to enhance them were reviewed.
His Excellency Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani, Governor of the Qatar Central Bank and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Investment Authority, also met with Ms. Maria Ramos, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Standard Chartered Group, Mr. Francesco Fani Darscheravi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Euroclear Group and his accompanying delegation, and Ms. Carla Antunes da Silva, Chief Executive Officer of Corporate Markets at Lloyds Bank, separately, on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group for the year 2026.
During the meetings, the most prominent global financial and investment developments and related topics were reviewed.
