The Ministry of Transport is hosting the second edition of the International Forum for Electric and Self-Driving Transport, during the period between 7-9 September 2026 at the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC).
Over the course of three days, the forum will discuss, with the participation of an elite group of local, regional and international speakers and a group of government officials, industry experts, innovators and academia, a number of important topics and themes related to electric transport and self-driving mobility, including the role of self-driving systems in smart cities, the importance of converting vehicle fleets and logistics networks to electric vehicles in reshaping the transport system and daily life in the region, developing digital infrastructure, traffic management using artificial intelligence tools, and the importance of providing frameworks. There are strong policies and incentives that regulate the mechanism for adopting and implementing these systems in a safe manner, as well as the potential for local innovation and ways to support the construction of home-grown mobility systems.
The second edition of the forum supports the direction of the Ministry of Transportation’s strategy 2025-2030, which aims to establish an integrated, safe, flexible and sustainable transportation system, driven by innovation, clean energy and smart technologies. It also reflects the continuous efforts made by the Ministry to adopt next-generation transportation solutions, in a way that supports national priorities and addresses sustainability issues of a global nature.
The forum enjoys the support and sponsorship of a group of industry leaders and prestigious institutions, including: Qatar Railways Company (Qatar Rail), QTerminals Company, Qatar Mwani Company, Qatar Free Zones Authority, Al Abdul Ghani Motors, and Seib Insurance.
The forum also contains a space dedicated to displaying electric vehicles, charging stations, and smart mobility tools, as well as workshops and networking sessions between community members and experts to enhance awareness, establish fruitful dialogue, and conclude partnerships.
It is worth noting that the second edition of the forum, organized by Just S & Auto Marketing Services, was scheduled to be held during the period between April 7-9, 2026, and the decision to postpone was based on the current regional situation.
