His Excellency Mr. Khalid bin Badr Al-Mutairi, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the country, praised the distinguished efforts made by the State of Qatar in order to contribute to strengthening the process of joint Gulf action and facing challenges in a spirit of wisdom and responsibility.
His Excellency said, in a special statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), “We congratulate the sister State of Qatar on its success in presiding over the forty-fourth session of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf,” adding that Kuwait will continue, during its presidency of the forty-fifth session of the Supreme Council, scheduled to be held tomorrow, the process of The State of Qatar and the outstanding achievements it has achieved meet the aspirations of the citizens of the GCC countries towards greater interconnection and cooperation, and to continue developing frameworks of integration between the GCC countries, by working To keep pace with regional and international developments that require deeper coordination and unified positions from all of our countries to continue building on the achievements achieved, and to maintain the cohesion, solidarity and unity of the GCC states.
He stressed the need to intensify efforts to complete the components of economic unity and the joint defense and security systems, in a way that guarantees the stability of the GCC states, enhances their regional and international role, and achieves the lofty goals for which it was established.
The Kuwaiti ambassador to the country indicated that the developments in the situation in occupied Palestine require the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council to stand united to confront the repercussions of this crisis, stressing that the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip and the brutal war it is witnessing in which thousands of Palestinian civilians have been killed, requires pressure on the international community. To carry out its responsibilities to stop Israeli military operations in the occupied Palestinian territories and protect civilians, in accordance with international law and international humanitarian law, stop attacks on Arab lands in Lebanon and Syria, and empower international organizations Humanity is able to carry out its tasks in providing humanitarian and relief aid to the Palestinian people.
In this regard, he praised the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in leading the international coalition to support recognition of the State of Palestine, stressing the need to intensify work to reach a comprehensive and just settlement of the Palestinian issue in accordance with the principle of the two-state solution, in a way that guarantees the Palestinian people their right to establish their independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
His Excellency Mr. Khalid bin Badr Al-Mutairi continued: The GCC countries prioritize supporting stability and the necessity of reaching a comprehensive political solution in the Republic of Yemen in accordance with the Gulf Initiative, the outcomes of the comprehensive national dialogue and international resolutions, as well as working in a spirit of cooperation to address the outstanding issues with the Republic of Iraq, which contributes to enhancing security. Regional stability, consolidating the principles of good neighborliness, and building relations based on mutual respect.
He explained that the positive steps that have been taken in the relations between the GCC countries and the Islamic Republic of Iran recently add a new phase and positive momentum that will enhance constructive cooperation between the GCC countries and Iran in all fields in order to achieve regional stability.

He also stressed that the holding of the Gulf Summit in the State of Kuwait comes at a critical stage that the region is going through, in which challenges are growing and crises are worsening. He said, “As member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council, we face a shared responsibility to overcome them and achieve what we all aspire to in terms of prosperity and comprehensive development for our region under the wise leadership.” Their Majesties and Highnesses, leaders of the Council countries, “may God protect and protect them.”
