The launch of the World Military Parachute Jumping Championship “SESM”

The World Military Skydiving Championship (SESM) competitions were launched in the Republic of Slovakia, with the participation of the Qatari skydiving team affiliated with the Qatar Air Sports Committee of the Joint Special Forces, along with the teams of 33 countries. The championship competitions will continue until August 23.
The Qatari team is looking forward to competing strongly and achieving the best results, and continuing the series of achievements it has achieved in continental and international participations, in light of the great experience and technical capabilities it possesses in the sport of parachuting. The Qatari team is represented in the tournament by Al-Hadaf, which is considered one of the distinguished teams in the world and has previously achieved many remarkable achievements and results. It is worth noting that the Qatari team holds world records, the most prominent of which is entering the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest night parachuting formation in the world, in addition to presenting many dazzling aerial displays.
The Qatari participation is witnessing a presence in the individual and team competitions, as Mohammed Al-Marri participates in the Seniors category “individual”, while the group team includes Abdulaziz Abdullah, Khaled Shaja’, Saleh Al-Obaidi, and Mohammed Al-Attas. Ali Al-Yafei and Saleh Al-Karbi are also participating in the “Individual” Juniors category.
The Qatari team has been participating in the World Military Skydiving Championship since 2010, and has continued its presence in this international competition, confirming its position among the most prominent teams in this sport.
Hazza Hamad Al-Attiyah: Our goal is to continue the achievements
Captain Hazza Hamad Al-Attiyah, Secretary-General of the Qatar Air Sports Committee, confirmed that participation in the World Military Championship represents an important milestone for the Qatari team, noting that the team enters the competitions with great ambition to achieve the best results. Al-Attiyah said: “We are proud of our team’s participation in this world championship, and we look forward to presenting a level befitting the name of Qatar and continuing the achievements achieved by the skydiving team over the past years. Participating in a tournament that includes 33 countries represents a great challenge, but at the same time it is an important opportunity to interact with the best international teams and demonstrate the capabilities of our players.” He added: “The team prepared well during the preparatory camp in Slovakia, and we hope that this will be reflected in the performance during the competitions.
