The Ministry of Labor, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, continues to conduct interviews with students nominated to join the government scholarship program for the private sector in a number of leading institutions.
The second phase of the program includes Qatar Airways, the National Bank, the Kiotermen Company, the Qatar Stock Exchange, Qatar Insurance Company, and the Qatar Investment Authority.
This joint cooperation between the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Education comes in the context of Qatar National Vision 2030, which focuses on promoting investment in young human energies, by expanding the scope of the government scholarship program to include the private sector for the first time, and enabling students to join qualitative specializations supported by practical training and continuous development, with the commitment of the beneficiaries to absorb them in the future within its operating cadres, in a way that contributes to achieving targets Emiratization.
These interviews represent an extension of a strategic national initiative aimed at directing scholarship opportunities towards private sector institutions, through multiple stages that include a group of success partners from companies and economic institutions in this sector, in a way that enhances the alignment between academic specializations and the needs of the labor market in the vital economic sectors, in complete harmony with the pillar of human development within the Qatar National Vision 2030.
These interviews focus on measuring skills, the level of commitment, and the ability to develop, ensuring the selection of scholarships who represent a qualitative addition to the development process in the labor market, in line with the settlement plan, aimed at increasing the percentage of national workforce in the private sector.
The second phase of the scholarship program for the government for the private sector is a continuation of the first stage that witnessed the participation of a group of major sector institutions in the country, as the Ministry of Labor seeks, through activating this program, to build a practical bridge between the outputs of the educational system and the labor market, by preparing Qatari students and qualifying them academically and professionally to join the strategic economic sectors, which include food and agriculture, education, health services, information technology and services Digital, financial services, logistics services, tourism, manufacturing industries, construction, construction and real estate.
The Ministry of Labor notes that the governmental scholarship program for the private sector is not only an educational path, but is one of the effective tools in strategies and receiving programs related to Emiratization efforts, aimed at providing excellent training and qualification opportunities for citizens, to enable them to take leadership roles in private sector institutions, which contributes to raising the rates of employing national cadres in various vital fields in this sector, in line with the goals of the third national development strategy.
The Ministry, represented in the national workforce sector in the private sector, renews its commitment to continuing to develop policies and programs, aimed at activating the Emiratisation law, which would empower Qatari youth and qualify them to compete and excel in work environments.
