The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has signed a cooperation initiative with Microsoft to launch the Azure Openai service in various government agencies, in the context of enhancing the use of artificial intelligence technologies to support digital innovation in the government sector.

This initiative comes within the framework of achieving the goals of the digital agenda 2030 towards enhancing digital transformation and pushing the digital innovation wheel, as the Azure Openai service will enable institutions and entities in the country to benefit from advanced artificial intelligence models to provide innovative government services based on artificial intelligence.

The Cooperation Initiative was signed by Mrs. Reem Al -Mansouri, Assistant Undersecretary for Digital Industry Affairs at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and Mrs. Lana Khalaf, General Manager of Microsoft Qatar during the activities of the Qatar Summit Qatar 2025.

This initiative aims to enable government agencies and the private sector to reach the latest technologies of artificial intelligence in a way that contributes to promoting productivity and improving services.
