The Ministry of Public Health has announced the inclusion of the anti -belt vaccine within the national vaccination program. The vaccine is taken as two doses separated for a period of two months to 6 months, for people over the age of fifty, as well as for adults from 19 years or more who suffer from immune problems or those with chronic diseases.

The Ministry of Health stated that the vaccine will be presented in all centers of the Primary Health Care Corporation, for the qualified individuals to obtain it as soon as it goes to health centers and without the need to set a prior date.

The Ministry indicated that the addition of the fiery belt vaccine to the national vaccine schedule within the list of recommended vaccines reflects its continuous commitment to protecting the residents of the State of Qatar from all infectious diseases and mitigating its pathological effects, as well as the Ministry’s interest in continuous updating of its recommendations and policies related to the prevention of infectious diseases, whether by updating preventive regulations and guidelines from these diseases, or by adding the latest vaccines to the national program for vaccinations.

The Ministry of Health added that this vaccine has been adopted by many international health organizations, such as the World Health Organization, Disease Control and Prevention Centers, Food and Drug Administration in the United States of America and the European Pharmaceutical Agency, due to its great capabilities in preventing the fire belt or reducing the risk of infection in adults and reducing complications in the injured, and it also has high safety levels with side effects Very limited.

The ministry indicated that this effective vaccine has been included in the schedules of national vaccinations in more than 45 countries in the recent period, explaining that it is known that the vaccine greatly helps in preventing the occurrence of the fiery belt and its complications.

A training workshop for health workers in the public and private sectors on the vaccine will be organized, in order to ensure the highest levels of benefit from it and determine the best health practices associated with it.
