The Ministry of Trade and Industry issued an administrative decision to close the Al -Jaida Motor Company for a period of 30 days, due to the failure to provide spare parts and delay in providing after -sales services, which is a violation of the provisions of Article (16) of Law No. (8) of 2008 regarding consumer protection.

The Ministry stated, in a statement today, that administrative decision No. (18/2025) to close the company came after the registration of 29 repeated violations of the same type to the company, noting that despite the issuance of several previous alerts, the company did not take the necessary measures to correct its conditions, which necessitated the taking of the administrative closure of its right.

The statement stressed that this decision comes within the framework of the Ministry’s supervisory efforts to protect consumer rights, and to enhance the commitment to the laws and regulations in force in the state, especially those related to providing after -sales services and pieces necessary to ensure the safety and quality of the product.

The Ministry stressed the continuation of the implementation of its inspection and oversight campaigns, and to take the necessary legal measures against anyone who violates the provisions of the Consumer Protection Law, in a manner that guarantees a fair commercial environment that preserves the rights of all parties, calling on all citizens and residents to report any violating practices through the call center (16001) and their accounts on social media platforms.
