Al-Shamal Club has signed Tunisian midfielder Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan from Al-Ahly of Egypt (the Club of the Century in Africa), according to what was announced yesterday by the Doha Bank Stars League runner-up last season.
The club reported that the Tunisian player successfully passed the medical examinations, and is expected to join the team’s training in preparation for the competitions of the new season 2026-2027, which begins on August 20.
Ben Ramadan, 26 years old, joined Al-Ahly of Egypt in the summer of 2025, coming from the Hungarian club Ferencvarosi. He played 33 matches with the team during the 2025-2026 season, and was able to score two goals. He also contributed to the team winning the Egyptian Super Cup. Before the Ben Ramadan deal, Al-Shamal signed Frenchman Wesley Saeed, coming from Lens, and Uruguayan Federico Paes, in preparation for the historic participation in the tournament.
