The Qatar Olympic Committee is organizing the first edition of the boxing tournament tomorrow

Tomorrow, Friday, the Qatar Olympic Committee, in cooperation with the Qatar Boxing Federation, will organize the first edition of the Olympic Boxing Committee Championship.

The tournament includes three age groups: juniors (15-16 years), youth (17-18 years) and men (19-40 years).

For his part, Salah Al-Saadi, Assistant Director of the Sports Events Department at the Qatar Olympic Committee, said that the Committee aims, by holding this tournament, to spread the concept of sports for all and build bridges of communication between the various segments of Qatari society and residents of the country to embody its vision: “Let us be a pioneering nation that unites the world through development.” Sustainable sports.

Al-Saadi added that boxing represents the key to self-confidence and self-control, helps increase muscle endurance and relieve stress, and has many health and physical benefits.

This tournament falls within the 2024 agenda of community events organized by the Qatar Olympic Committee to raise awareness of the importance of sports for all and introduce boxing as one of the self-defense sports.

The Qatar Olympic Committee’s calendar includes more than seventy local and international events during the sports season, which confirms the importance of Doha as the capital of global sports.
