The Qatar Stock Exchange index declined at the beginning of today’s trading, by 0.11 percent, losing its balance by 11.82 points, and thus falling to the level of 10,473 points, compared to yesterday’s session and under pressure from five sectors.
The stock market figures attributed the decline in the general index to the negative performance of the industrial sector by 0.37 percent, the transportation sector by 0.19 percent, the insurance sector by 0.08 percent, the banking and financial services sector by 0.02 percent, and the communications sector by 0.01 percent. On the other hand, the performance was Positively for the real estate sector by 0.32 percent, and the consumer goods and services sector by 0.74 percent.
At around 10:00 am, the Qatar Stock Exchange recorded trades worth 47,124 million riyals, distributed among 21,010 million shares through the implementation of 1,746 transactions.
