The Qatar Stock Exchange index rose marginally at the beginning of today’s trading, and increased by 0.02 percent, adding 2.52 points to its balance compared to the close of the last session (Thursday), and reached the level of 10,457 points, supported by three sectors.
The Qatar Stock Exchange figures attributed the rise in the general index to the positive performance of three sectors: the insurance sector rose by 0.39 percent, the consumer goods and services sector by 0.22 percent, and the banking and financial services sector by 0.05 percent, while the transportation sector decreased by 0.29 percent. The communications sector rose by 0.12 percent, and the real estate sector rose by 0.07 percent, while the industrial sector remained stable.
At approximately 10:00 a.m., the Qatar Stock Exchange recorded trades worth 45.303 million riyals, distributed among 21.059 million shares, with 1,895 transactions executed.
