The Qatar Football Association announced today that the national team will play a friendly match against its Australian counterpart on November 13 at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
This friendly match comes as part of Al Annabi’s preparations for the 2027 Asian Cup finals, which will be hosted by Saudi Arabia during the period from January 7 to February 5 next.
The national team, which holds the title of the last two editions in 2019 and 2023, will compete in the finals of the 19th edition of the continental championship in Group Six alongside Japan, the record holder with four titles, Thailand, and Indonesia.
The Qatari national team is also preparing to compete in the twenty-seventh edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup tournament, “Gulf 27,” which is hosted by Saudi Arabia during the period from September 23 to October 6, where the draw placed it in the second group alongside the teams of the Emirates, Bahrain, and Yemen, while the first group included the teams of Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, and Kuwait.
