The second edition of the Women’s Basketball League starts April 18

The junior basketball championship and the women’s basketball league returns in its second edition of Qatar, which includes Dorian for the two young people from 11 to 14 years, which is hosted by Qatar Foundation in cooperation with the Qatar Basketball Federation, with the aim of unleashing the capabilities of youth throughout the country. With the participation of 70 boys and girls, the junior basketball championship tournament will be held over a period of 7 weeks, in addition to a new league for those under the age of 12, from April 18 to May 31, in the building of the Forum (City Students Center) of the Qatar Foundation, as well as in the Qatar Basketball Federation building.
Qatar Foundation will host a junior training program on April 16, including boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 16. Participants will be divided into two age groups, one between 11-13 years old, and the other between 14-16 years, where they will receive training in basic basketball skills by professional coaches, who will in turn focus on dribbling, payment, pass and defense.
The program, which includes a series of sessions, highlights the values ​​of teamwork, sportsmanship and leadership in an interactive and comprehensive environment, which enhances the passion of permanent and early adolescents towards basketball.
The “Drah” program, affiliated with the Junior Basketball League, is also a program for enabling girls that includes a series of discussion sessions and workshops that highlight the care of the next generation of players and leaders.
