The delegation of the State of Qatar was headed by His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Finance, during the sessions that dealt with a number of economic and financial topics, including developments in the global economy and growth prospects, and the role of the private sector in supporting economic activity, in addition to developments in the banking sector, artificial intelligence and digital assets, as well as monetary policies, sovereign debt, economic imbalances, enhancing financial culture and combating fraud.

His Excellency the Minister of Finance stressed the importance of continuing international coordination and cooperation in facing global economic and financial challenges, enhancing the stability of the international financial system, and supporting sustainable and comprehensive growth, in addition to the importance of creating a supportive environment for the private sector, encouraging innovation and benefiting from technological developments in a way that enhances competitiveness and supports the process of economic development.

In this context, His Excellency stressed that conflicts undermine economic growth paths, by disrupting trade and raising energy and transportation costs, which exacerbates inflationary pressures and negatively affects investment, especially in emerging economies, pointing to the importance of consolidating international cooperation.

He also stressed the State of Qatar’s commitment to supporting global energy security and market stability, and strengthening economic partnerships in a way that contributes to achieving integration and reducing geopolitical challenges.
