Dr. Thomas Junter said that “the nose bleeding occurs when the microscopic vessels are damaged in the nasal mucosa rich in blood vessels, for various reasons such as blowing the nose with force or entry of strange bodies or external effects,” and most of the bleeding occurs at the front of the nose, which is usually not harmful.
The German general doctor added that many people initiate tilt the head back to stop the nasal bleeding, believing that they thus keep blood in the body and prevent it from falling on clothes and other purposes, but this method is wrong, as it leads to blood entering the stomach and causing vomiting.
Two ways
To stop nose bleeding quickly and effectively, Junter recommended that one or both of the following methods be applied:
Cooling of the neck: Applying ice compresses wrapped with a towel or a piece of cloth pre-dominated with cold water on the neck stimulates a reflex reaction that causes the blood vessels to contract in the nose.
-Include the nose openings together: pressure also helps to stop the nose bleeding, and to do this, sit with a slightly headed head, then join the nose opening together with my thumb and index finger for about ten minutes, and during this time, breathe from your mouth.
Visit the doctor .. when?
Dr. Junter recommended examining the nose’s bleeding by the doctor if it continues for more than 20 minutes or occurred regularly.
You should also visit the doctor if the bleeding occurs mainly at the back of the nose, that is, the blood is mainly liquefied through the throat.
