Nine teams are participating in the tournament, distributed into two groups. The teams with the first four positions in each group qualify for the quarter-finals, where the second of the first group will play with the third of the second group, the second of the second group will meet the third of the first group, while the first of the first group will play with the fourth of the second group, and the first of the second group will play with the fourth of the first group. .

This is the fifth time that Qatar has hosted the Asian Men’s Handball Champions League Championship after 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016.

It is noteworthy that Al-Sadd of Qatar holds the record for the number of times it has won the championship title, having won the title five times, while Al-Duhail of Qatar won the title three times, Al-Jaish of Qatar, Kazma and Al-Qadisiya of Kuwait, and Al-Najma of Bahrain twice, and once each of Al-Rayyan and Al-Arabi (Qatar), and Al-Fahaheel.
