His Excellency Sheikh Saud bin Ali Al Thani, President of the International Basketball Federation, will leave today, Wednesday, heading to Singapore to attend the Club World Basketball Cup, which is awaited by lovers of “orange ball” with great passion, and starts from tomorrow, Thursday, and will continue for three days.

His Excellency this global event comes after his recent return from Latvia, where he continued the European Basketball Championship competitions, as part of his keenness to support and develop the game at the continental and international levels.

The tournament is witnessing the participation of six international clubs, which were distributed in two groups, as the first includes Al -Ahly, Tripoli, the representative of the continent of Africa, along with the Spanish UNikakha and the Japan Pix. The second group includes the Brazilian Flamengo, the Australian Eloara Hoks and the American Ji United.

The Brazilian Flamingo teams, Liege United, cut the tournament’s opening tape in a strong confrontation, followed by the Libyan Al -Ahly match against UNICKA, in a meeting that is expected to have a wide audience.
