The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has announced the launch of the official website of the Qatar Digital Business Award, a national award aimed at honoring individuals and institutions who contributed to developing distinguished digital solutions and services, in order to enhance the career and digital leadership in the State of Qatar. The Ministry announced, through the official website of the award, the opening of the nomination for the ninth edition of the Qatar Digital Business Award 2025, starting today, Sunday, August 10, while the date of the closing of the application will be announced later.

The Qatar Digital Business Award honors companies and individuals in the State of Qatar, in appreciation of their contributions in the fields of providing services, digital adoption, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The award aims to encourage digital companies to develop their skills, enhance their capabilities, and raise the quality of their services to compete regionally and internationally in providing services, digital adoption, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The ninth version is characterized by the expansion of the award range to include 13 categories in order to enhance innovation in advanced fields, which contributes to adding greater diversity to the covered fields, while continuing to honor prominent achievements in the main categories, including major companies through 4 categories: the best digital experience, the best solution in the field of artificial intelligence, the best company in the field of digital transformation, the best service provider in the field of information technology and communication technology.
As for small and medium companies, it includes 5 categories: the best digital experience, the best startup for this year, the best solution in the field of artificial intelligence, the best company in the field of digital transformation, the most expanded company for this year.
As for all companies, they can compete for 3 categories of the award: excellence in research and development, the best smart solution, the best solution in the field of cybersecurity.
One category of the award is allocated to individuals: the entrepreneur for this year.
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology called on all companies operating in Qatar, digital innovators and entrepreneurs to participate in the award, which is witnessing a great diversity in the participants, which reflects the vitality and growth of the digital sector in the country. She also indicated to invite the best 5 final candidates from each category to conduct exhibition interviews as part of the evaluation.
The award aims to open the door for more creators to present their ideas and innovative projects, especially since the award is not just a celebration of prominent achievements in the digital fields, but rather is an investment in the digital future, by supporting innovators and emerging companies there is an endeavor to build a prosperous digital economy and is able to compete at the global level.
After closing the application door, an accurate evaluation process will be done by an independent jury that adopts clear and specific evaluation criteria and includes a group of prominent experts and specialists in the digital field.
The Ministry launched the award’s website http://qdba.mcit.gov.qa/ar, to be a comprehensive reference that includes all the information related to it, as it allows those wishing to participate to see the categories of the various award, conditions, standards, terms, and mechanism of candidacy.
It is worth noting that the Qatar Digital Business Award witnessed a great turnout last year, as the Ministry received 303 requests to be nominated with the aim of competing for the various categories of the award from 132 companies and institutions from various sectors, and prizes were awarded to companies according to competitive conditions and standards after a precise evaluation process, supervised by an independent jury that included 23 digital specialists.
The Qatar Digital Business Award is an annual national platform that enhances the acceleration of digital transformation in Qatar, and encourages the adoption of digital technology in addition to exchanging experiences between the various concerned authorities, and also contributes to building a knowledge -based economy, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology strategy focuses on the importance of adopting modern digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and fifth generation networks, to enhance the national economy and build a diverse and competitive digital economy based on innovation and entrepreneurship.
