The activities of the Video Assistant Referees Symposium, organized by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), will begin tomorrow, Sunday, in Doha, during the period from January 19 to 21, with the participation of 20 referees from the continents of Asia and Africa.

The symposium topics include the technical aspects of referees and matters related to the video technology protocol, and will witness the participation of Qatari international referee Khamis Al Marri.

The program of the FIFA Symposium for Video Assistant Referees includes theoretical lectures and analysis of arbitration cases, in addition to reviewing the instructions that the referee must follow and implement in order for the matches to be managed in an optimal way, and monitoring cases that require the intervention of video technology, and all decisions that were taken in each case will be discussed and reviewed. .

Participating in the symposium sessions are Mike van der Roost, the video technology official at FIFA, Michael Bailey, the director of the video assistant technology project, the Italian Massimiliano Irati, and the Serbian Milorad Mazic.
