Trade: doubling the rations supported by citizens in Ramadan

The Ministry of Trade and Industry has announced the initiative to double the rations supported by the beneficiaries, as the quantities allocated in the ration card of rice, sugar, oil and milk will be doubled, as of the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan 1446 AH to the end of it.
This initiative comes within the framework of the ministry’s keenness to ensure the availability of the basic food needs of citizens in appropriate quantities during the holy month.
The ministry stated that the ration shares will be distributed through the distribution centers, which number up to 300 centers throughout the country, while providing sufficient stocks of commodities to ensure the continuity of supplies throughout the holy month.
The Ministry called on citizens to benefit from this initiative, confirming its commitment to provide the necessary support to meet the needs of families during the holy month of Ramadan.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Trade and Industry announced the working hours of “one window” services during the holy month of Ramadan, where the morning period will be from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, while the evening period extends from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm, in the context of the Ministry’s keenness to provide effective service for customers and facilitate the workflow in proportion to the nature of the holy month.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry announced the beginning of this month to provide its services during the evening from Sunday to Thursday, from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm, as a flexible option that contributes to accelerating the pace of completion of transactions. Where customers can complete their work without the need to wait during traditional working hours, which contributes to alleviating congestion within service centers and enhances the customer’s experience in general.
The evening period for one window services has witnessed an increasing demand from individuals and companies, which reflects the satisfaction of customers for the new timing, which aims to facilitate procedures and complete transactions for businessmen and investors.
The one window recorded 850 auditors during the past week, including 150 auditors in the evening, or more than 17% of the total auditors, which constitutes a positive shift in the turnout and contributes to reducing pressure in peak times that are usually between 2:00 and 3:00 pm.
This initiative is part of the Ministry’s efforts to develop and update procedures with the aim of improving the experience of customers and providing more flexible services to meet their needs, in a way that enhances the business environment in the country within the framework of the Ministry’s strategy in line with the goals of the Qatar Vision 2030.
This service contributes to accelerating business courses and projects whose success depends on the speed of government procedures. The Ministry of Trade and Industry affirms its commitment to improving the efficiency of the services of the “one window”, reducing the time taken to complete transactions, and increasing customer satisfaction, which contributes to strengthening the country’s business environment.
