US Minister of Health, Robert Kennedy Junior, said on Monday that he is planning to issue instructions to diseases and prevention control centers to stop recommending the addition of fluoride to drinking water.

He revealed his plans for the Associated Press, after a press conference in the city of Solt Lake.

On the same day, the US Environmental Protection Agency announced that it has retracted “new scientific information” related to the possible health risks of fluoride in drinking water.

The state of Utah was the first US state to prohibit, last month, adding fluoride to public drinking water, bypassing the objections of dentists and national health organizations, which warned that this step would lead to health problems that are not impartially impartial on low -income communities.

The Republican Governor, Spencer Cox, signed a law that prevents cities and local societies from making decisions regarding the addition of this material known for its ability to prevent tooth decay to their water systems.
