Uzbekistan will host the 2024 Futsal World Cup next Saturday and will continue until October 6, 2024.
The tournament will see the participation of 336 players in the tenth edition of the tournament, representing 24 countries, including four countries appearing in the Futsal World Cup for the first time: Afghanistan, France, New Zealand and Tajikistan.
The teams participating in the tournament were divided into 6 groups. The first group included: Uzbekistan (host), the Netherlands, Paraguay, Costa Rica. The second group included: Brazil, Cuba, Croatia, Thailand. The third group included: Argentina, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Angola. The fourth group included: Spain, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, Libya. The fifth group included: Portugal, Panama, Tajikistan, Morocco. Finally, the sixth group included: Iran, Venezuela, Guatemala, France.
Uzbekistan is set to host its first ever FIFA tournament, becoming the fourth AFC member association to host the FIFA Futsal World Cup, after Hong Kong, China (1992), Chinese Taipei (2004) and Thailand (2012).
