Visit Qatar signed a one-year strategic partnership agreement with Satguru Travel and Tourism, during the World Travel Market Exhibition in London 2026, with the aim of enhancing the flow of tourists to the State of Qatar from six major markets on the African continent.
A statement by Qatar Tourism said today that the agreement comes as a continuation of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides during the Arabian Travel Market 2025, and sets a framework for joint promotion of the State of Qatar as a tourist destination and the development of integrated packages for visitors.
Under the partnership, the two parties cooperate in tourism marketing, enhancing communication with travel agencies and commercial partners, developing tourism packages, and facilitating visitors’ trips from targeted markets.
The joint promotional campaigns focus on sports tournaments, outdoor activities during the winter season, family and entertainment experiences, culture and festivals.
Satguru, which operates in more than 80 countries and has offices in 42 African countries, leads promotional efforts, communicates with business partners and develops packages in target markets, while Visit Qatar provides promotional content and highlights the events calendar.
The agreement falls within Visit Qatar’s efforts to enhance its presence in eleven priority markets on the African continent, expand its partnerships in the travel and tourism sector and attract more visitors, thus supporting tourism’s position as an engine for growth and economic diversification in the State of Qatar.
