This Wednesday afternoon, the Qatar Bowling Center hall will witness the launch of the His Highness the Emir Bowling Cup Championship, organized by the Qatar Bowling Federation, in the individual and mixed categories, and will continue until the fourteenth of December with the large participation of the Qatari national team players and a distinguished elite from various countries of the world. The Qatar Bowling Federation, headed by Abdullah Al-Qattan, and the auxiliary committees have completed all preparations to launch a new, strong and distinctive edition that will be added to the ancient championship series, which in its history has recorded the participation of a large number of champions and heroines of the game at the international level.
Work has been completed in the tournament halls, through the preparations made by the auxiliary committees and the tournament director, Bandar Mubarak Al Shafi, Secretary General of the Bowling Federation. The technical committee, headed by Abdullah Haroun Al-Jusaiman, has also prepared the steps paving the way for the start of the competitions.
The His Highness the Prince Bowling Cup Championship competitions will witness 5 attempts being held during the first and second days, followed by 4 attempts being held over 3 days, which are December 6, 7 and 8, then 5 attempts being held during the days of December 9, 10, 11 and 12 in the first stages, then the stages will begin on the penultimate day. The final tournament for which 36 players qualify, competing to win the title in 5 stages, in which their number decreases from one stage to another until the precious cup is crowned on the day. The tournament system stipulates the participation of players who are familiar with the laws of the game so as not to influence the ranked and world champions in the tournament, and also to avoid any disruption in the competitions.
The Qatar Bowling Federation has allocated financial prizes totaling 110,000 US dollars, with the first-place winner receiving $25,000, the second-place winner receiving $16,000, the third-place winner receiving $12,000, and the fourth-place winner receiving $8,000. The fifth place winner will receive $6,000, while the sixth to ninth place winners will receive $3,000 each, and the tenth to thirteenth place winners will receive $3,000. An amount of two thousand dollars for each winner. From 14th to 16th place, each winner receives an amount of $1,500. From 17th to 20th place, each winner receives an amount of $1,100. From 21st to 24th place, each winner receives an amount of $900. Finally, each place winner receives an amount of $1,100. From 25 to 36 for a sum of $800.
