The Qatari team came in the fourth classification of the 16 teams that qualified for the Asian Cup (Jeddah 2025), accompanied by the teams of India, Guam and Iraq, while the Saudi (host) team was placed at the head of the first -class teams, along with the teams of Australia, Japan and New Zealand.
The second classification included the teams of Iran, Lebanon, China and the Philippines, while the third classification came in the third classification of Jordan, South Korea, Syria and China Taipei.

The 16 teams qualified for the tournament were identified through the qualifiers that were held over three and a half windows, according to the return system, and these teams later qualified for the World Cup Basketball Cup qualifiers for the Asia and Oceania region.
The Qatari team, which will score its eleventh appearance in the continental finals, qualified after the absence of 8 years, after its second place in the fifth group with 10 points, behind the Iranian team, the leader of the group with 11 points, within the double Asian qualifiers qualified for the Asian Cup (Jeddah 2025) and the World Cup (Qatar 2027).
Saudi Arabia qualified automatically as the host country, while the teams of Australia (the defending champion twice in a row), Japan, Jordan, Lebanon, New Zealand and the Philippines, guaranteed its qualification to the continental championship thanks to its results in the Asian Cup 2025 qualifiers.
The contract of the participating teams was also completed after the qualification of China Taipei, Guam, India and Iraq, as the four best teams in the last qualifying stage, which were held in two different cities.
China Taipei and Group Group (G) in the city of Taipei, where China, Taipei, won its matches against Game and Thailand, while Game achieved one victory over Thailand and lost to China Taipei, and in Group (H), whose competitions were held in Bahrain, the India and Iraq teams repeated the same achievement, to qualify through strong results during the final qualifiers.
