His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Hassan Al -Maliki, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, participated in the work of the sixteenth International Economic Forum «Russia – the Islamic World: Kazan Forum 2025», which is currently being held in the city of Kazan in the Republic of Tatarstan.
His Excellency witnessed the official opening ceremony of the international exhibition, “Russia Halal Expo”, held on the sidelines of the forum, and also held a bilateral meeting with His Excellency Mr. Oleg Corubshenko, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade in the Republic of Tatarstan.
During the meeting, the topics of common concern were reviewed with the aim of enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the sectors of trade, investment and industry, in addition to exchanging views on the topics on the agenda of the forum.
During the meeting, the successful economic policies established by the State of Qatar were highlighted to support the private sector, incentives, legislation and promising opportunities available in the state and aimed at encouraging investors, businessmen and companies owners to invest in the State of Qatar.
On the other hand, His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Trade and Industry toured the exhibition “Russia Halal Expo”, during which he briefed on the wings, services and products provided by the participating companies and institutions. He also visited the external exhibition of vehicles and equipment, in addition to the real estate and infrastructure projects exhibition, where he was briefed on the wings of the exhibiting companies.
His Excellency visits also included the ICL and IT Park factory, where he learned about the most prominent industrial and technological practices followed in these facilities.
His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Trade and Industry also participated in the official dinner ceremony held by His Excellency Rustam Minikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, in the presence of a number of senior official figures.
In the context of the forum’s agenda, His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Hassan Al -Maliki participated in the plenary session of the forum, as well as his participation in a session entitled: “The Economic Dialogue Russia – Qatar” organized by the “Russia Business Organization”, and aimed to discuss the prospects of bilateral cooperation and enhance economic and trade relations between the two countries.
The Kazan 2025 Forum aims to enhance economic, commercial, investment, technological and cultural ties between Russia and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
The forum witnessed, throughout its days, a number of discussions and discussion sessions that dealt with multiple topics, including international cooperation, tourism, transport, industrial dialogue, global challenges, media activities, youth entrepreneurship, youth diplomacy, women’s perspective, culture, and business societies.
