Al-Rayyan club crowned the General Women’s Volleyball League title for the Sports season 2024-2025, after winning the closing round of Al-Arabi Club with a result of three runs against one run (3-1), in a match held amid a distinguished public presence.
The closing ceremony was attended by Ali Ghanem Al -Kuwari, President of the Qatar Volleyball Federation, Mrs. Amna Barakat Al -Kuwari, member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Women’s Sports Committee, along with Hamad Al -Shaybah, Head of the Department of Sports Programs at Qatar Educational Foundation, and Mrs. Hessa Lahdan Al Muhannadi, Coordinator of the Physical Education at Al -Khor Model School for Boys.
With this victory, Al -Rayyan club maintained its record free of losses throughout the season, to win the first place and gold medals, in addition to a financial prize of 35 thousand Qatari riyals. While the Al -Arabi Club came as a summer, and received silver medals and the amount of 25 thousand riyals, and Qatar Club came in third place, winning bronze medals and 15 thousand riyals.
The coronation ceremony also witnessed the honoring of a number of supportive personalities, as the President of the Federation presented two memorials to Mr. Hamad Al -Shaybah, and Professor Hessa Lahdan Al -Muhannadi, in appreciation of their efforts in supporting women’s sport and enhancing community partnership.
