Qatar Airways has announced the signing of a strategic agreement with the Barzan Holding Group and Satys, the global company specialized in plating and processing of aircraft surfaces, to construct a pioneering facility for wide -body planes at the Dukhan Air Force Base.

This historical cooperation is part of a long -term partnership between Qatar Airways, Barzan Holding Group and Satys, which aims to strengthen the aviation system in the State of Qatar by building Qatari capabilities and transporting technology and innovation to the state. The new facility in Qatar will be the first for Satys to paint broad body aircraft in the region, as it features the new generation of digital -based paint technology.

The project has been designed to meet the maintenance of commercial aircraft, dignitaries and military aircraft, and the project will include two paint facilities for broad -body planes, including a multi -purpose facility for light maintenance activities. The new facility will work as a regional center for airlines operators throughout the Middle East and the Indian continent, as it will provide access to specialized paint services that reduce the ground time of aircraft by getting rid of the need to transport aircraft abroad to change the aircraft suit or restore paint.

In a related context, advanced digital technology works with a plan to adopt robots for future paint.

The facility will also allow the conduct of double use, and support the needs of civil and military aviation alike by meeting technical specifications and relevant safety standards, in line with the strategy of the State of Qatar to localize high -value services, and support local experiences in the field of aviation.

It is worth noting that this initiative reflects the joint commitment of Qatar Airlines and Barzan Holding Group to support Qatar National Vision 2030 by building high -value industrial capabilities, creating skilled job opportunities, and promoting Qatar as a world -headed country in the field of aviation technology and services.

On this occasion, M. said. Badr Mohamed El -Mir, CEO of Qatar Airways Group: “This partnership provides a strategic infrastructure for aviation and serves our national and regional ambitions. In cooperation with Barzan Holding Group and Satys, we will be able to provide advanced technologies by building local capabilities that will determine the future of the aviation sector in the State of Qatar. This facility also reflects our commitment to excellence, innovation and empowerment of Qatari talents.”

For his part, Eng. Mohamed Badr Al -Sada, CEO of Barzan Holding Group, said: “This strategic agreement reflects our commitment to developing the defensive and air capabilities of the State of Qatar through purposeful partnerships that focus on promoting the future. The development of a unique facility to paint aircraft in cooperation with Qatar Airways and Satys will make the State of Qatar a regional center for excellence while meeting the needs of military and civil aviation. It enhances our commitment to enabling the local industry and specialized skills, and supporting the broader goals of Qatar National Vision 2030. “

“We are proud of our partnership that we started in 2021 and we remain committed to providing our best to Barzan Holding Group and Qatar Airways. Together, we will continue to seek excellence in quality, innovation and the period necessary to provide services,” said Mr. Christophe Cador, CEO of Satys Airlines.
