Qatar Chamber holds a training forum for social responsibility

The Qatar Chamber, in cooperation with the Regional Consulting Network, held a training forum entitled “Higher Institutions in Qatar with its work with the standard description of social responsibility ISO26000”, with the aim of enabling institutions to align their work with this international standard, which is an accredited framework for enhancing transparency, accountability, and responsible institutional institutions.
A group of representatives of private government agencies participated in the training forum, and Dr. Ali Abdullah Al Ibrahim – Deputy Head of the Regional Network for Social Responsibility.
The forum dealt with four main axes: the definition of the standard of social responsibility ISO26000, the road map to align their businesses with the standard description of social responsibility, the importance of align their businesses with the standard standard of social responsibility, and the certificate of compliance with their businesses with the standard description of social responsibility.
Mrs. Fatima Issa Al -Kuwari, head of the training and development department in the Qatar Chamber, said that the organization of this training program comes within the framework of the Chamber’s commitment to support sustainability and social responsibility in the various sectors in the country, and based on the role of the Chamber in empowering the public and private sectors, as well as civil society institutions, from adopting global standards that contribute to achieving sustainable development and enhancing the positive social impact.
She pointed out in her opening speech to the forum, that the Qatar Chamber is always keen to build the capabilities of institutions in the country by providing knowledge and practical tools, encouraging the exchange of experiences, and opening the prospects for cooperation between the authorities concerned with social responsibility, adding that this forum is a model for positive interaction and construction between various sectors in order to improve business practices to the highest standards.
The training forum aims to raise the awareness of institutions and provide them with practical tools to align their activities with global social responsibility standards, specifically the ISO26000 standard.
