The German magazine “Hilbraxcent” has warned that mouth bacteria may enhance fatal heart disease.

The German magazine explained that a recent study indicated that oral health and heart health are closely closely related to what was previously believed, as it was found that some oral bacteria may contribute to the development of atherosclerosis and significantly raise the risk of coronary arteries and heart attacks with deadly consequences.

Bacteria hidden in the plaques

The researchers, the American Heart Association, analyzed 121 samples of people who died suddenly, in addition to 69 samples that were taken during surgeries for patients with narrowing of arteries, and through molecular tests, tissue analysis and measuring genetic expression, the effect of bacteria on the immune system was determined.

The results showed that 24% of the samples contained the DNA of what is known as the green streptococcus, a known type of mouth bacteria, and these microbes found hidden in the form of vital membranes in the heart of the plaque.

A close connection with fatal heart disease

The presence of these bacteria was directly associated with an increase in atherosclerosis and the high risk of fatal coronary arteries or heart attacks, and experts also noted that the immune system is active only when penetrating parts of the bio membrane of the plaques outer layers, as this leads to a strong activation of certain cellular signals, which enhances infections.

The study concluded that the underlying and chronic bacterial infections are able to evade the immune system, which contributes to the development of complex negligence plaques and increased the risk of deadly heart attacks.

The importance of oral health

These results indicated that oral bacteria can have a direct impact on heart health, which opens new horizons for prevention and treatment, and at the same time stresses the importance of periodic dental hygiene and regular examinations with the dentist to prevent serious heart problems.
