On Sunday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza called for an emergency response to bring in the necessary medical supplies to save the health and humanitarian conditions in the Strip, following the entry into force of the ceasefire agreement.

The Ministry said in a statement: The health and humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip require an emergency response to bring in necessary medical supplies.

She stressed that thousands of sick and wounded are in urgent need of qualified places to provide them with health care.

She warned that the cessation of specialized and diagnostic services worsens the health situation and hinders complex surgical interventions.

She stressed the importance of strengthening the remaining operating hospitals in the Gaza Strip, considering it a top priority that cannot wait any longer.

According to the latest statistics from the government office in Gaza, over the course of two years of annihilation, Israel bombed, destroyed, and put out of service 38 hospitals, 96 health care centers, 197 ambulances, and 61 rescue and firefighting vehicles.

More than once, the Ministry and local and international human rights reports have warned of a complete collapse in the health system in light of the deliberate Israeli targeting of it, in addition to the severe shortage of medical supplies and medicines as a result of the closure of the crossings.

As of 09:15 (GMT), humanitarian aid had not entered under the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement between Hamas and Israel.

According to the agreement document published by the official Hebrew Broadcasting Authority, all humanitarian aid will be allowed immediately (following the approval of the agreement by the Government of Israel) to enter and be distributed freely according to the agreed-upon mechanism, in line with the humanitarian resolution issued on January 19, 2025.

Since October 8, 2023, and for two years, Israel has committed genocide in Gaza, leaving 67,682 martyrs, 170,33 wounded, most of them children and women, and a famine that claimed the lives of 463 Palestinians, including 157 children.
