Qatar Energy LNG held the first edition of the CEO Awards for Excellence in Health, Safety, Environment and Quality at its headquarters in Doha. This ceremony represents an important achievement to recognize outstanding performance and exceptional achievements in the areas of health, safety, environment and quality at the company level.
The ceremony witnessed the official launch of the company’s “Safety Week 2025”, attended by senior officials, led by the CEO, members of the senior management team, senior leaders in the company and shareholder representatives, in order to honor the distinguished teams that continue their efforts to enhance the world-class safety culture at Qatar Energy LNG.
In recognition of the achievements achieved in 2024, approximately twenty-eight awards were presented in seven categories representing the full spectrum of operational excellence, with each award honoring initiatives that add measurable improvements in health, safety, environment, and quality, demonstrate strong leadership, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
During the ceremony, the “Our Journey towards Excellence in Health, Safety, Environment and Quality” platform was officially unveiled, which is an interactive exhibition that visually highlights the wonderful initiatives, achievements and teamwork behind the progress made by Qatar Energy LNG over the years.
Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Thani, CEO of Qatar Energy LNG, stressed in his speech that safety is at the heart of the company’s culture and identity, saying: “At Qatar Energy LNG, safety is the foundation of our company. It is the promise we make to every employee, every partner, and every family, that we will do everything in our power to protect lives, preserve our assets, and preserve the environment in which we work.”
