Visit Qatar is preparing to launch the second edition of “Buruq”, the distinctive desert event, to offer families and visitors an immersive experience that combines adventure, culture and relaxation.
The event will be held from November 26 to January 17, and this year’s edition will once again transform Qatar’s unique desert landscape into a vibrant destination for exploration, entertainment and outdoor adventures.
The Brouq area, located on the western coast of the State of Qatar, is famous for its stunning rock formations and picturesque coastline. The 2025 edition will offer many new additions, including an “Adventure Tower” and expanded family areas, along with a renewed program that includes cultural workshops, live performances, an open-air cinema, storytelling sessions, and touring entertainment shows.
Visitors will also enjoy mini safari trails and areas designated for family gatherings designed to highlight the natural beauty of the desert. The luxurious experiences will include a 250-meter free zip line, a free fall platform, a climbing wall, hot air balloon rides, horse and camel rides, in addition to fine dining experiences under the supervision of the W Hotel. Visitors wishing to extend their stay can book a luxury beachfront camping experience managed by Our Habitas Resort.
The event will include three main areas, each offering a distinct experience. The Film City will host a precinct featuring retail stores, local cuisine and live cultural performances. As for the “Wildlife” area, it will provide guided paths that allow guests to explore the nature of the desert environment. While the “Desert Haven” area will contain the new Adventure Tower, along with outdoor dining areas and entertainment venues. The “Luxury Camping Area” also returns this year with upgraded camping units on the beachfront, featuring private outdoor lounges, excellent amenities, and uninterrupted coastal views.
The general admission ticket costs 50 riyals for adults and 30 riyals for children under 12 years old. Luxury camping units that can accommodate up to ten guests are available for advance reservation, at a price of 1,200 riyals for a standard unit and 1,500 riyals for a premium unit, including furniture and meals.
The “Buruq” event is open from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm on weekdays, from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Fridays, and from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm on Saturdays.
