The Qatar Chamber Industry Committee reviewed the challenges facing the industry sector under the current circumstances and the appropriate proposals and solutions for them.
During its meeting today, the committee discussed a number of important issues related to the industrial sector.
Mr. Abdul Rahman Al Ansari, member of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Chamber and Chairman of the Committee, said that the meeting comes within the framework of emergency committee meetings to identify all the challenges facing the private sector and work to solve them with the concerned authorities.
He praised the efforts made by the state to solve the problems facing the economy, especially with regard to the availability of strategic goods, raw materials and foodstuffs, especially by establishing direct lines with some ports that are still operating in the region.
During the meeting, the members of the committee called for unifying shipping rates, in addition to providing facilities by banks by postponing bank installments for local companies.
