FIFA announced the list of referees assigned to officiate the 2026 World Cup finals, which will begin next June and will be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, with an expanded participation of 48 teams for the first time in the history of the tournament.
The list witnessed a distinguished Qatari presence, with the selection of a Qatari arbitration team, in a new confirmation of international confidence in Qatari arbitration competencies and their ability to manage major international tournaments efficiently and competently.
The crew included Abdul Rahman Al-Jassim as a referee, along with Saud Ahmed and Talib Salem Al-Marri as assistants, while Khamis Al-Marri was chosen as a video referee (VAR).
This selection reflects the advanced position that Qatari arbitration has achieved on the international scene, especially after the successful participation in continental and global championships over the past years, which contributed to refining the experiences of Qatari referees and enhancing their presence in major forums.
