The Qatar Sports for All Federation, under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, confirmed the completion of preparations and readiness to organize the Eid Running Race 2026, in cooperation with the Old Doha Port, which is scheduled to be held on the twenty-eighth of this month, in the port park behind the “Terminal” building. The race is part of a series of community sports events that aim to promote the culture of practicing sports and spread a healthy lifestyle among the various segments of society. The Sports for All Federation has invited all running fans, both citizens and residents, men and women, to join the participants in the race. Eid Running, through the Sports for All application, and the competitions begin at five-thirty in the evening and continue until seven, and it has been decided that participation will accommodate various age groups, as a distance of 2.3 miles has been allocated for the category of adults over 17 years, while ages from 7 to 16 years old will participate in the one-mile race, in addition to another race designated for children from 3 to 6 years old, for a distance of half a mile.
Mr. Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Sports for All Federation, said that the Eid running race is an extension of sporting and community events.
