The training of our first national football team yesterday evening at the Khalifa International Stadium witnessed a large media presence from various local and Arab media outlets, in order to follow up on Al-Anabi’s preparations before the upcoming friendly confrontation against the Irish national team, scheduled for May 28 in the capital, Dublin, as part of the preparatory program for the 2026 World Cup finals. Al-Anabi’s delegation departs tomorrow for Dublin.
The team conducted its training at Khalifa International Stadium in completion of the penultimate preparation period when it will depart for Dublin
To go through the first friendly experience before heading to the United States of America to complete the final stage of preparations, which also includes a friendly confrontation against the El Salvador national team.
All 34 players participated in the training, with the number being reduced to 26 players in a final list that will compete in the World Cup after the Ireland match.
Al-Adam is expected to conclude his preparations by participating in a camp in the United States of America, including a friendly test against the El Salvador national team on June 6.
Yesterday’s training session witnessed an atmosphere of focus and enthusiasm among the players, amid close follow-up by the technical staff, which seeks to reach the best possible combination before traveling to Ireland, as the friendly match represents an important test to determine the readiness of the basic elements and the application of tactical ideas before the start of the World Cup.

Pedro: Our ambition is great

Pedro Miguel confirmed that our team is continuing its intensive preparations for the 2026 World Cup amid an atmosphere of focus and great enthusiasm among all the players, noting that the current stage represents an important stage in reaching the highest levels of readiness before the start of the world championship. Pedro Miguel said that Annabi’s training is going strong according to the program set by the technical staff, explaining that everyone is working in a great collective spirit in order to appear in the best way during the World Cup, especially since the team has great ambitions to present distinguished levels against the top international teams.
He added: “The current preparations are very important for us, and all the players realize the value of the next stage, so there is a great commitment within the training and a strong desire to reach the best preparation before the start of the World Cup.”
He explained: “We are training with high concentration, and we are working to implement the instructions of the technical staff with precision, especially since the current period requires doubling the effort and working to correct mistakes. Pedro stressed that the upcoming friendly matches will be an important opportunity for the national team to determine the level of readiness before traveling to the World Cup.

Hammam Al-Amin: Preparations are fine

Hammam Al-Amin confirmed his full readiness to participate with our team in the World Cup, noting that the current stage of preparation is witnessing great work from all players and the technical staff in order to reach the best technical and physical level before the start. He said that the current atmosphere in the Annabi camp is one of focus and great enthusiasm, especially with the approaching date of the friendly matches that precede participation in the World Cup, explaining that all the players are aware of the extent of responsibility and the importance of appearing in a strong manner befitting the name of Qatari football. He added: “Preparations are going excellently, and there is a great commitment from everyone in the training, and he pointed out that the apparatus is working on a daily basis to prepare the team in all technical and physical aspects.

Tariq Salman confirmed that our national team continues its preparations with full force and enthusiasm to compete in the 2026 World Cup
He said that everyone inside the camp is in a state of great concentration, especially with the approaching of the two friendly matches that precede participation in the World Cup, explaining that the players realize the magnitude of the responsibility placed on their shoulders in order to appear in an honorable manner befitting Qatari football.
He added: “We are all striving to provide the best during the coming period, and all the players are participating in the training with a high spirit and great enthusiasm in order to reach the best possible preparation before the start of the World Cup. He pointed out that the technical staff is keen to benefit from every training session and work to correct the errors that appeared during the last period, stressing that the players are implementing the instructions of the technical staff with all seriousness so that the team is at its best during the tournament.”
He explained: “We work daily to implement the coach’s requirements during training, and there is a great focus on the technical and tactical aspects, so that we are prepared as required before the World Cup.”
