The State of Qatar received 2.338 million visitors through its various land, air and sea ports during the first eight months of this year.
Qatar Tourism data today showed that the number of visitors to the State of Qatar during the month of August increased by 6.3 percent to 303,000 visitors, compared to the month of July, which recorded 285,000 visitors.
Qatar Tourism data revealed the diversity of sources of visitors coming to Qatar during the period from January to August 2026, where the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf came in first place with 41 percent of the total number of visitors and 958 thousand visitors, while the countries of Asia and Oceania came in second place with 20.9 percent of the total number of visitors and the number of visitors reached 489 thousand visitors.
The data added that Europe ranked third with 486,000 visitors, or 20.8 percent of the total number of visitors, while the Americas ranked fourth with 7.2 percent, with 169,000 visitors out of the total number of visitors.
The other Arab countries came in fifth place with a number of visitors amounting to 162 thousand visitors, which represents 6.9 percent of the total number of visitors, and the other African countries ranked sixth with a number of visitors amounting to 73 thousand visitors, or about 3.1 percent of the total number of visitors.
