The match between Lusail Club and Al Wakrah within the third round of the Doha Bank Stars League competitions for the 2026-2027 sports season, which was held at the Lusail World Cup Stadium, witnessed a wonderful and distinctive atmosphere before the start of the match, in light of Lusail Club’s launch of the Fan Zone experience accompanying the match.
This initiative comes within Lusail Club’s direction towards making match day an integrated experience that begins before the starting whistle, by providing an entertaining and interactive fan area that includes a variety of activities and experiences designed to suit all groups, including children, youth and families.
The Fan Zone aims to create a lively and enjoyable atmosphere around the match, and encourage early attendance at the stadium, which contributes to increasing fans’ connection to the stands and turning match day into an integrated sporting and community event.
Youssef Al-Hajjaji:
A special new experience
For his part, Yousef Nasser Al-Hajjaji, Assistant Director of Public Relations at Lusail Club, said: We are happy at Lusail Club to launch a new experience in the league championship, the goal of which is that match day is not just 90 minutes on the field. Therefore, we presented this experience, and it is compatible with all age groups, from parents, children, youth and families, to enjoy the activities that take place an hour before the start of the match, and the idea also contributes to the existence of a great bond between the club and the public.
Fatima Al Obaidly:
A qualitative shift in harmony between children and their families
Fatima Al-Obaidly, Assistant Director of the Schools and Student Affairs Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, said: “The atmosphere is very wonderful at Lusail Stadium, and the place and setting are heartwarming. The participation of our students from schools, whether primary, middle, or high school, and their presence with their families in the stadium, and their playing and practicing sports activities, contribute to the rapprochement between the father and his children, and therefore it is a qualitative shift in harmony and a qualitative shift in harmony between the children and their families.”
Lusail Sports Club is preparing to implement a set of public and community initiatives and events accompanying its match at Lusail Stadium as part of the club’s drive to develop the match day experience and enhance the participation of various segments of society in the sporting atmosphere.
The event is scheduled to witness the participation of 17 people with disabilities, in partnership and coordination with Qatar for Community Work, in addition to about 50 of their parents, employees and companions, as part of the club’s keenness to support community integration and provide an integrated sports and entertainment experience for various groups.
The event also includes the participation of school students and parents, in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, with the aim of strengthening students’ connection to sports and encouraging them to attend and interact with the activities accompanying the matches.
The initiatives also include supporting the “Hiwa” program, in addition to engaging the Sunni groups, buds, and members of the Lusail Club Academy.
