Abdulaziz Al-Hajjaji presented Qatar with the “Snir” individual bronze medal at the 39th World Skydiving Championship in the style and landing accuracy competitions, which were hosted by the city of Spisska Nova Ves in the Slovak Republic during the period from August 29 to September 4, 2026, under the supervision of the International Federation of Air Sports (FAI) and the International Skydiving Committee (ISC).
Al-Hajjaji’s coronation came after strong competitions held in the skies over the city of Spisska with the participation of 132 players in the singles category “Snir”, representing 28 countries who competed for first places and colorful medals. Al-Hajjaji achieved third place, confirming his distinguished presence and giving the Qatari team a new achievement in the world championship competitions.
This coronation reflects the advanced level reached by the players of the Qatari skydiving team, and their ability to compete in international forums, in light of the broad participation that included an elite group of the most prominent international players.
This championship is one of the world championships classified in the first category, and the 13th World Junior Championship is held in conjunction with it, with the participation of an elite group of the best jumpers from various countries of the world.
The competitions include two main competitions: accuracy of landing on the target, which depends on achieving the shortest possible distance from the center of the target upon first contact with the ground.
Free fall method, during which the competitor performs a specific series of rotations and movements at maximum speed while maintaining technical precision.

Hazza bin Hamad Al-Attiyah, Secretary-General of the Qatar Air Sports Committee, expressed his happiness with the achievement achieved by the Qatari team by obtaining third place and the bronze medal in the individual competition, stressing that reaching the podium in one of the strongest global skydiving championships is a distinguished achievement, in light of the strong competition and high technical level witnessed by the tournament. Al-Attiyah said: “This achievement came thanks to the great support that the team enjoys, in addition to its determination and resolve.” Our heroes who were up to the responsibility, presented a distinguished level and were keen to raise the flag of the State of Qatar on the podiums.” He added: “The Qatari team appeared in an honorable manner throughout the championship competitions, and what was achieved reflects the amount of work and preparation undertaken by the Qatar Air Sports Committee to develop the level of jumpers and prepare cadres capable of competing and achieving achievements in various international tournaments and forums.”
