The Ministry of Finance announced today that tenders and auctions in government agencies achieved, during the second quarter of 2026, a total value of 4.4 billion Qatari riyals.
The Ministry stated, in a post on its account on the “X” platform, that 4.1 billion riyals of these tenders were awarded to local companies, recording a 52 percent decrease compared to the same quarter of the year 2025, while 0.3 billion riyals were awarded to foreign companies.
The Ministry of Finance indicated that the municipality, environment, health, energy, culture and sports sectors topped the sector performance index during the second quarter of 2026.
During the first quarter of this year, tenders and auctions in government agencies achieved a total value of 8.6 billion riyals.
