The journal Nutrition Research Review reported that nuts help with weight loss, even though they contain many calories, according to a recent scientific study.
The specialized magazine in nutrition explained that in an analysis of 7 studies on the effect of calorie-restricted diets, none of them had a negative effect on weight loss when nuts were part of the diet.
In 4 out of 7 studies, people who ate about 40 to 80 grams of nuts daily lost 1 to 7 kilograms more.
The magazine explained that nuts are rich in healthy unsaturated fatty acids, plant proteins, and dietary fiber, which enhance the feeling of fullness and play a role in reducing the intake of excess calories.
Nuts are also linked to improved intestinal and cardiovascular health, metabolism, and higher mental performance.
