His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, Minister of Trade and Industry, met today, with a group of Qatari manufacturers, at the Ministry’s headquarters, to discuss the challenges facing the industrial sector and review possible solutions to enhance its growth and development.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry affirmed in a statement that this meeting comes within the framework of the Ministry’s efforts to enhance the investment environment in the industrial sector, and to provide the necessary support to manufacturers, in a way that contributes to developing industrial projects and achieving the economic goals of the state.
The meeting dealt with a number of axes related to the development of the industrial sector, among them the procedures for establishing factories, legislation regulating industrial investment, in addition to discussing solutions to support industrial projects and providing the necessary facilities for the growth of this vital sector.
The meeting also witnessed a review of the initiatives and projects launched by the Ministry of Trade and Industry to support manufacturers and enhance the role of the industrial sector in diversifying the national economy and the development of Qatari exports, within the framework of Qatar’s National Transformative Industries strategy launched by the Ministry recently, the third national development strategy, and Qatar National Vision 2030.
