His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Hassan Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al -Wakra Club, issued a clarification statement on the issue of the professional transfer indicating the ranks of the Egyptian Zamalek Club, and said, “In the context of my constant care of transparency and clarification of facts, I would like to explain frankly and the credibility of my position from all the events and statements that they circulated Some recently, especially with regard to sports and commercial relations with sister Egyptian clubs, especially Al -Ahly and Zamalek clubs. I, His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Hassan Al Thani, President of Al -Wakra Club, assure sports and generous fans that I have a deep respect for all Egyptian clubs, as our relations with Egypt clubs have always been based on respect Zamalek, and if some try to delude the Zamalek fans that I am personal or the management of Al -Wakra club against their club, this claim is far from the truth. The relationship that binds me to the Zamalek club, as is the case with all Egyptian clubs, is based on respect and there is no place for any distortion or interpretation of my statements or positions, and when I talk about the issue of the transfer of the professional player Dala, I say with sincerity and sincerity that I can give Al -Ahly the player for free if he requests This is from me, my brother, Captain Mahmoud Al -Khatib, and these words are not merely expressive, but rather a reflection of our principles that we believe in in dealing between clubs that are keen on the principles of reciprocity. Al -Ahly is the club that initiated first and gave us the opportunity by loaning its player Hamdi Fathi to Al -Wakra Club at a time when we have the financial liquidity we have minimal, without stipulating the payment of dues immediately, this noble behavior on the part of Al -Ahly is what proves the spirit of cooperation and humanity
-I also emphasize that we live in the era of professionalism, and the player is still linked to the Al -Wakra Club with an official contract, this contract is part of preserving the sporting and commercial rights of players and the club alike.
-With regard to the news that the Zamalek club has made an official offer to include the player Dala, I categorically explain that Zamalek did not make any official offer for this purpose. What has reached us is some oral signal from non -accredited brokers -and the matter did not stop there, as we also reached contacts from some media people indicating the desire of the Zamalek club to borrow the player for only six months, provided that their commitment is limited to paying his monthly salaries, and this request is that Right, it is not considered logical and does not match our principles that are based on respecting the rights of the club and the player. As Al -Wakra Club has its financial and contractual rights
-In light of the foregoing, we are awaiting the official request from Zamalek or any other interested party to study the loan or purchase of the player’s contract, and as I said before, nothing comes for free. But the situation with Al -Ahly Club is completely different; As it is based on the principles of cooperation and treatment similarly that we have built for many years, in addition to the strong cooperation relations that link us with its president, Captain Mahmoud Al -Khatib, and we are fully prepared to provide all possible support to Al -Ahly Club for the success of their participation in the World Club Championship
Finally, I would like to emphasize that our relations with all Egyptian clubs are based on mutual respect and appreciation based on a long history of sports and humanitarian cooperation. The statements that are distorted or exploited to flip the fans of some clubs and make unjustified accusations are not related to the reality of what we live in cooperation and understanding between us.
