The Qatar Stars League Foundation, in cooperation with the International Sports Security Center (ICSS), organized a workshop for sports integrity, with the participation of players and officials from the Stars League clubs, and the second division clubs, through visual communication technology.

The Foundation stated in a statement, the Football Integrity Unit at the Qatar Stars League Foundation supervised the workshop, which mainly focused on raising awareness about manipulating the results of matches for the first and second grades clubs.

The workshop was attended by Mr. Hani Talib Blanc, CEO of the Foundation, and his counterpart at the International Center for Sports Security, Mr. Massimiliano Montanari.

Former players from outside Qatar participated in their experiences and exchanged their experiences on various aspects of awareness of manipulating the results of the matches, and the importance of devoting the principle of integrity and clean play.

This workshop also comes within the framework of the efforts of the Qatar Stars League Foundation to help clubs to meet and fulfill the requirements of the AFC.

It is noteworthy that the Qatar Stars League Foundation, as part of its keenness to preserve the highest criteria for integrity in football, had cooperated with the International Sports Security Center last season in organizing a similar workshop on the risks and harms of manipulation of matches that would have serious repercussions for football.
