The Football Association made an amendment to its regulations and regulations for the Qatar Stars League Foundation, which will be implemented as of the new season. The most prominent amendments increased the number of foreign professionals to 10 players in the list of each team, which is 28 players. The amendments specified the participation of foreign professionals as follows:
First: It is permissible to participate with a maximum of 6 foreign players at any time of the match, provided that this includes at least one talented player (5+1).
Second: It is allowed to register all the 10 foreign players in the match list and their participation at any time of its time, and the circulation and rotation between them within the legally permitted changes.
Third: The talented player must be among the group of players who are previously registered in the lists of clubs who were chosen and registered in the sports season 2024-2025, or before in coordination with the Central Exploration Committee at the Qatar Stars League Foundation and his characteristic is included as a talented player in his identification card.
It is also allowed to score and share the talented player in the goalkeeper at any time of the match.
On the other hand, Al -Ittihad, within the amendments to its regulations and regulations for the Qatar Stars League Foundation, canceled the base of (40 times the salary) referred to in circular No. 385 of 2015 and all the relevant provisions stipulated in the Federation and Foundation regulations and allowing any player exceeding 23 years to move to any other club according to his desire at the end of his contract.
A new mechanism will be developed to evaluate and determine the prices of local players ’contracts by the Qatar Stars League Foundation to be a club reference.
The interest of the Qatar Football and the public interest will be taken into account, according to the new mechanism, taking into account the contracts in force between the players and the clubs.
These amendments will be placed later in the professional list, provided that they are subject to financial oversight and are included in the regulations regulating them.
The Federation will hold an introductory workshop for clubs to clarify all the details related to it, the new amendments and the mechanism of their implementation and will not be activated until the federation regulations and the Qatar Stars League Foundation for the Sports season 2025-2026 and the issuance of the official circular by the Federation and the Foundation are approved.
