Amidst a large audience presence and a distinctive heritage atmosphere, the curtain came down this evening on the competitions of the first edition of the Al-Haqawi Waste Festival, the first of the Qatar Camel Mazayen Club festivals for the 2024-2025 season, which was held in the Mazayen area in Labsair, and witnessed a large participation of about a thousand. ride.

The final day’s competitions witnessed the crowning of the winners of the Al-Maghateer Al-Wadh rounds, which were postponed from yesterday, Friday, as well as the final Al-Majhaim rounds of the festival, which witnessed a huge participation from the mounts in the four rounds.

The four rounds of the Maghatir (Al-Wadh) category competitions that were held in the morning were strong, namely the challenge round for the Talad (local), the challenge round for Al-Sharaya (local), the challenge round for Al-Qaadan (local), and the open challenge round (international), where 166 horses competed to win the titles of the four rounds. .

In the most important round designated for the open (international) challenge, the Saudi owners dominated the top three places, as Dhaar Theeb Al-Qahtani, owner of the mount “Qaws,” won the title after winning first place and the prize of the “Toyota Chas” car, while Jaaithen Misfer Al-Dosari, owner of the mount “Wahajah,” came. He came in second place and received a prize of 80,000 riyals, while Dhaar Theeb Al-Qahtani, owner of the horse “Haddajah,” won third place and a prize of 50,000 riyals.

In the challenge race for the Talad (local), Mubarak Salem Al Qamra, owner of the mount “Sultana,” was able to win the title after winning first place and a prize of 80,000 riyals, while Saud Mubarak Al Shafi, owner of the mount “Qadaa,” won second place and his prize was 50,000 riyals, while Saud Abdullah Al Marri, owner of the “Jawhara” mount, won third place and his prize was 30,000 riyals.

As for the challenge race for Al-Sharaya (local), Turki Muhammad Al-Qahtani, owner of the “Leader” mount, won the title after achieving first place and a prize of 100,000 riyals, while Fuhaid Faraj Al-Ghufran, owner of the “Al-Hadaya” mount, came in second place and his prize was 60,000 riyals, while Abdullah won Mahdi Al-Qahtani, owner of the horse “Hajad”, won third place and a prize of 40 thousand riyals.

Finally, in the challenge round for Al-Qadaan (open), Saud Mubarak Al Shafi, owner of the mount “Qadaa,” won the title after winning first place and a prize of 60,000 riyals, while Fahd Abdullah Al-Dosari, owner of the mount “Al-Zaidi,” came in second place and his prize was 40,000 riyals, and Faraj Hussein won. In the challenge race for the Talad (local), Abdullah Muhammad Andila, owner of the mount “Mintla”, was able to win the title after winning first place and a prize of 80,000 riyals, while Faisal Falah Al Marri, owner of the mount “Al Zalba”, won second place and his prize was 50,000 riyals, while Ali won Rashid Al Marri, owner of the “loaned” mount, won third place and his prize was 30,000 riyals.

As for the challenge race for Al-Sharaya (local), Salem Muslim Al-Nabit, owner of the “Heavy” mount, won the title after achieving first place and his prize was 100,000 riyals, while Salem Saleh Al-Nabit, owner of the “Etemad” mount, came in second place and his prize was 60,000 riyals, while Mohsen won Abdullah Andila, owner of the “Al-Ashwa” mount, won third place and a prize of 40,000 riyals.

Finally, in the challenge round for Al-Qa’dan (open), Mohammed Salem Al-Nabit, owner of the mount “Munif”, won the title after winning first place and a prize of 60,000 riyals, while Salem Mubarak Al-Marri, owner of the mount “Harish”, came in second place and his prize was 40,000 riyals, and Saad Abdullah Al-Marri won. Malek Al-Matiyya “Al-Hakim” won third place and his prize was 25 thousand riyals.

It is worth noting that the Al-Mafarid Challenge Festival, in its first edition, received wide participation from local and Gulf camel owners and lovers, in the three categories designated for the festival (Al-Asayel, Al-Maghateer, and Al-Majahim).

The festival organizing committee allocated 200 prizes for the winners of the festival rounds, with 10 winners in each round. The value of the prize ranges between 100,000 riyals for first place and 5,000 riyals for tenth place according to the rounds of each category, provided that there will be prizes in the form of 5 cars for the first-place finishers in the rounds. An open challenge (international) in each category, in addition to distributing 60 scarves to the winners of the first five places in each round.

By creating the Al-Mafarid Challenge Festival and placing it on its annual agenda, the Qatar Camel Racing Club seeks to preserve the sport of fathers and the heritage and enhance it in Qatari culture, and to preserve camel breeds, in addition to educating the emerging generations about the importance of Qatari heritage and traditions, as well as preserving the sport Parents and grandparents, introducing young people to it, developing cultural tourism, and stimulating economic activity through events and activities that attract many visitors.
