Yesterday, Saturday, the draw for the seventh edition of the Banking and Football Championships championship at the Sports Excellence Academy, which is scheduled to start on the fifteenth of April, and will continue until the seventh of next May on the covered hall in Aspire (the herbal stadium).
The lottery ceremony was attended by Saleh Salman, the championship director from the Qatar Central Bank, Hussein Al -Sharshani, the general supervisor of the championship team from the Qatar Football Association, and the managers of the participating teams from the banking sector, financial banks and insurance companies. The lottery was also received by the participation of the Qatari football star, the Al -Sadd Club Captain Khaled Salman, the Egyptian star Wael Jumaa, the captain of the Egyptian club Al -Ahly and the former Egyptian team.
The championship draw resulted in eight groups that included 28 teams, as the first, second, third and fourth groups came with four teams in each of them, while groups from the fifth to eight included three teams in each of them.
Saleh Salman, the championship director, said in a speech on behalf of the Qatar Central Bank, during which he welcomed the attendees and said: “The meeting is renewed with you in the banking and financial institutions championships, copying 2025, which is held annually in cooperation with the Qatar Football Association and the Sports Excellence Academy Aspire, in a partnership that we are very proud of, as the Federation thanks to the ideal organization of the previous championships by providing all matters that contributed to the success of the tournament from the referees Depending on the Qatar Football Association and also through media support for the tournament, marketing and organizing it perfectly through the championship team.
He added: «And thanks are due to the Sports Excellence Academy, by providing the best stadiums and facilities to hold this championship in its seventh edition, and also we thank all the shepherds and all shareholders and workers in this tournament,
For his part, Hussein Al -Sharshani, the general supervisor of the work team from the Qatar Football Association, said: “We are very happy with our fruitful cooperation with the Qatar Central Bank in our joint organization of the Banking and Financial Institutions Championship in its seventh version, which comes within the framework of the social responsibility of the Qatar Football Association and within its interests and its keenness to support the football tournaments held in the state.”
He pointed out that the tournament is witnessing the participation of accredited referees from the Qatar Football Association, stressing the participation of a work team within the various departments of the Federation from various specializations in order to participate in organizing the championship.
